Open Access Policy

Revista de Regulación Sanitaria provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free and open access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge. It is possible to access its content freely and universally, at no cost to the reader. Due to its characteristics, it is considered a Diamond Open Access journal.

The journal does not impose article processing charges (APC), submission fees, or any other required charges on authors. Our mission is to support greater global knowledge sharing by allowing the research published in this journal to be open to the public and reusable under the terms of the Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) which permits copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format; remixing, transforming, and building upon the material for any purpose, including commercially; provided that the original author is cited and acknowledged.

Open Peer Review

The journal allows the open peer review model, thus incorporating more transparency in its evaluation processes. Within this review modality, several actions can be developed at different levels of openness:

- Open reports : Show the reviewers' reports.

- Open identities: Show the identity of authors and reviewers.

- Open participation: Facilitate a wider participation of the scientific community in the review process.

Open data

The journal promotes the openness of research data, as long as the level of reliability allows it. The author may publicly present the research data used in his work, which ensures compliance with the principles of Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR). In this way, the data can be shared and reused, which favors transparency and credibility in scientific research.

In addition, each original article and short communication must be accompanied by the analyzed database (uploaded as complementary material), in a modifiable format. E.g. (for Excel .xlsx or .xls)

The author is recommended to submit his research data in any of the internationally available repositories for this purpose: DataCite, The Dataverse Network, Zenodo, SciELO Data. In all cases this will be done following our Preprints - Pospints Deposit Policy and in accordance with the license to which our journal adheres.
